Baytown Public Works Open House

Public Works Week: On May 5, the US House of Representatives passed a resolution supporting National Public Works Week, May 17-23, 2009. National Public Works Week calls attention to the importance of public works in community life. Public Works Department (2123 Market Street) will hold their first annual OPEN HOUSE May 18 22, 2009, 1 pm to 3 pm This event will highlight all functions of the Public Works Department with each day dedicated to a specific area. Monday - Streets and Drainage Tuesday- Solid Waste/Recycle *this event will be held at the Green Center, 1601 W. Main Street Wednesday- Water Distribution/Utility Construction Thursday- Traffic Operations/Equipment Services Friday- Wastewater Collection/Treatment/Pollution Control/PSLIP Equipment demonstrations, site visits, and personnel available to provide information on the Operation of the Day and any other Public Works related issues.
