a simple, cheap, and easy way to drain your pool cover after it rains. all you need is -a hose -an inundated pool cover -a hill from the pool to where you want to empty the water its more like a science experiment rather than a pool cover drainer, but it works really well. the hose needs to already have some water in it to get things going. you can do this by connecting the hose to a pump, running it for a second, and then holding both ends off the ground to keep the water trapped in the middle. put one end in the deepest puddle of water on your pool cover and quickly bring the other end down the hill. immediately water will start to run downhill through the hose and out one end. suction will be created by the hose because it will need air, or in this case water, to fill up the empty space, which will in turn run down the hill just like the other water. ps it is recomended to pull in some of the pool cover every now and then to gather the water in one spot for maximum results
