LIGHTS OUT --- UNIVERSAL HEALTHCARE

The American economy is not an isolated enterprise that functions unimpeded by global events. To the contrary, as the current state of the world economy shows, our economies are intrinsically interwoven. For reasons that escape me our media does not report about many important events that happen in Europe or China, even though they may have an enormous impact on the United States. Often Europe discusses solutions that are novel, yet Congress as well as the media is either clueless or does not want us to know. --- At times we are being fed false information so we dont demand Congress to act. One example, Congress and the media always point to the United Kingdom for the malfunctioning of a government involvement in global healthcare. --- I am personally familiar with the German, Swiss, Italian and Spanish healthcare system and can report that they work rather well if they wouldnt, believe me they too would be used as an example by mostly Republicans to keep 65 million people uninsured. --- Starting today I will report on global events that may have an impact on us, or may be of interest to our viewers. --- If you think you have a problem with Congress, pity the Europeans! The European Union enacted a law that prohibits the use of the Edison-type bulb starting 2012. Instead Europeans are to use either LED or neon-types. I am serious!
